My virtual silhouette sitting was a snap-shot in time to capture my new physical appearance following my recent breast cancer diagnosis and breast removal and chemotherapy.
Perhaps atypically, the change from having long flowing curly locks to bald, and the lopsidedness of being a uni-boober hasn’t been particularly challenging to my body-image. I can see this in my portrait, which I love. More prevalent are the feelings of anxiety and guilt.
I’m looking forward to seeing changes in my next silhouette following my radiotherapy and further down the line.
